Kirsten L. Elfstrand

Overview

Kirsten Elfstrand is an associate trial attorney. She helps teams prepare for trial and win cases at trial, including work on mock trials to determine the best strategy for the client. Kirsten has worked on several cases that have gone to trial in a variety of federal jurisdictions. In 2022, Kirsten helped the team win a complete defense jury verdict in a billion-dollar patent infringement jury trial in Pittsburgh. In 2023, she worked on a trial team that won a complete defense jury verdict in a $243 million trademark infringement jury trial in Los Angeles. In 2024, Kirsten and team won a trade secret infringement case on a motion for directed verdict at the close of evidence.

Prior Experience

Kirsten rejoined Faegre Drinker after clerking for Judge Susan Richard Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. During her clerkship, Kirsten gained valuable insight into court proceedings and judicial preferences.
